Looks good, your ridge beam is overkill and collar ties and hurricane straps on your eves are recommended. It is a small recreation cabin so R13 in 2x4 works. 2x6 would be better for full time. You need to get solar set up instead of using gas to call it off grid and I run my entire cabin full time off a 1.4Kw solar and 800Ah of batteries. Stay safe out there!

WAY Less to Build By Almost Half or More in some cases, than to Buy one prebuilt at one of those Side of the road Shed Sellers you see, that are Constantly getting Repo'ed.. I built a 10 x 10 Shed for Under $1,000. Took My Time doing so... A Prebuilt, Delivered and Set up the same size would have cost over $3,000 at the time I built mine and now can see them for $5,000 oh.. "Free Delivery within 50 miles..".. I Plan on building a 16 x 28 Shed/House. It will Cost Under $5,000 to Build the Enclosed Frame.. A Prebuilt 16 x 28 Enclosed Frame, Can't do Anything to it Until Paid Off, Will Cost Close to $20,000 and by the time you Pay it Off, Almost $30,000... I SAVE Between $15,000 and $25,000... and Put That Money into Finishing it off and even Furniture and Extra's... Maybe even a 2nd Story???

Disagree on the per blocks. Your cabin is a light structure so it may be fine, but with a days' worth of work you could have had a foundation that lasted 100 years.

Very cool channel. Check out blaze king wood stoves. We have had one for about 15 years.m and they are amazing. They have an auto damping system. U wont restart the stove in the winter unless u need to clean the pipe. Burn times are insane. 8 hours minimum upwards of 16. Im not affiliated by them in anyway but they are simply the best. Thanks for the great content

We had a clue what we were doing when we built our studio, but not much more than that. We started following builder channels to see if they had tips on things we were fuzzy on. We had a couple of big ticket items given to us, somethings out of our scrap pile, and we hit up habitat for humanity. We got gutters and windows from them, 200 bux for about 8 windows, what a deal! We bought the windows first before framing, because we were going to go with whatever they had, our only stipulation was the front 2 should match. Id attatch a pic of the finished project if I could figure how.

Working with tongue & groove, but fully manual tools. Imagine how accomplished you'll feel when you finish roofing a room. Multiply by the amount of rooms you need roofing on... boy, is woodworking enjoyable.

My Dad what's the carpenter all his life when you are using floorboards have an offcut when using the offcut you can use it without having a tool put it over tongue and groove and hit fairly hard with a mallet a soft hammer is do the same trick if you don't have the right tool to do it withPlus when I what's a cabinet maker or a carpenter did the same thing that my father showed me maybe I can help you in the same way

Hmmmm.....just drill a 1.5 inch hole thru the back wall for the drain pipe under the sink....slope it down a little and run the pvc about 4 feet from back of cabin exterior wall....
